John Kirkley, b.1981, is a photographer based in Portland, Oregon.  Growing up in a small town in Northern Arizona his younger years were spent exploring ponderosa pine forests, golden aspen groves, skyward reaching saguaros, and the strange and magnificent rock formations of the Colorado Plateau.  Through these experiences he developed a deep appreciation for the land and the wild spaces that surrounded, drawing him further and further into the wilderness.  His photographic work aims to explore an ever-changing landscape while navigating his place within it.
